What is an IRCd?

An IRCD (Internet Relay Chat Daemon) is a computer program which creates an IRC server on which people communicate with each other via the internet.

1. Servers refers to the amount of IRCD processes you may run with your account.
2. Shells refers to the number of different servers you will be placed on.
3. All servers offer extremely advanced DDoS filtering making them almost imune to attacks.
4. Webhosting accounts will be on a seperate server and in a separate datacenter (Colo4 Dallas) for web use only.
5. Custom vhosts can be added to your ircd account provided you have an ip(s). There are NO public vhosts on the IRCd boxes, you may use a domain you currently own or choose from our domain list.

They also hide behind their TOS (terms of service) saying you must have active sites etc. Do you think Google.com would pay for 1,000’s of servers if they could host at DreamHost, who oversells web space, for $7.95?”
